How Do We Spend Our Money?

Living Room uses almost 86¢ of every dollar we spend on direct client services. Of the remaining, 8¢ cover rent, technology, phone and internet service, office supplies, staff benefits (including health insurance), printing, board development, and administrative staff salaries. Fewer than 6¢ of each dollar are spent on fundraising costs.

Traditionally, these costs have been lumped together and called “organizational overhead,” but we refer to them as our commitment to excellence and sustainability. The staff and board of Living Room are committed to providing efficient client services, outcome-based program evaluations, staff development, robust community outreach and advocacy programs. Your gift to Living Room will ensure that we continue working to end homelessness for people living with HIV/AIDS.
