Ending Homelessness & HIV/AIDS Starts Here

If you're interested in getting more involved with Living Room, we would love to have you join our team as a volunteer. Our volunteers help at our special events and festivals, with social media promotion, and some administrative duties. We currently do not have any opportunities for volunteers to work directly with Living Room clients, but we appreciate that people care about our clients as much as we do. However, volunteering in other areas can be just as important. Helping build strong relationships with donors and our community makes it possible to give our clients the care they need.

Taste of Life 2017

We need 40 volunteers that are willing to step up in the fight to end homelessness for the HIV/AIDS positive population!

Living Room's Taste of Life fundraiser on August 19 raises money for one of Atlanta's most vulnerable populations: people living with HIV/AIDS who are struggling with obtaining and maintaining housing. Our annual event will be held at the trendy Westside Cultural Arts Center and feature a wine pull, silent auction, and raffle.

Volunteer positions include:

  • Clean-Up & Decoration Set-Up
  • Silent Auction Set-Up
  • Food Pick-Up
  • Greeters
  • Registration & Ticket Sales Representatives
  • Food Service
  • Silent Auction Monitors
  • Raffle Ticket Sales Host (*this position is well suited for those with outgoing personalities)

All volunteers will receive complimentary admittance to this fabulous affair! Volunteers must be age 21 or older for this event. For more information or to purchase tickets check out our Taste of Life website.

If you're interested in volunteering at Taste of Life or to help your community, please contact Erin Linley at erin.linley@livingroomatl.org or register online (please indicate that you'd like to be a "Taste of Life Volunteer" on the online application)!

Social Media Boosters

About: “Boosters” help educate and involve friends and family in our mission to end homelessness for people living with HIV/AIDS! This important role is easy to do from your couch, but invaluably helpful as Living Room expands our work to reduce barriers to housing faced by people living with HIV/AIDS. Throughout the year, social media boosters will be eligible for exclusive prizes and event invitations!
