Life at Living Room has been a whirlwind the last week. And it has been wonderful. After moving all programs to our new office in the Hurt Building, things are as busy as ever while we prepare to resume services on November 1. Furniture and files settle in their resting places. Internet and phones lines go in and out as technicians set up and install. The sounds of levels sliding and hammers knocking permeate the rooms as staff hang up wall art. And slowly this new office takes shape to be as homey and inviting as it is efficient and professional.
Under One Roof Again
If you’ve ever worked for a small- or mid-sized organization that had different office locations, you might understand how that kind of separation affects the work environment. Our administrative and program offices have been back together for only a day, and the sense of can-do camaraderie is undeniable.
LaKari (Emergency Lodging Case Manager) chats with Broderick (Senior TBRA Case Manager) about life in the new office.
We’ve always known the future for Living Room and, more importantly, our clients is bright. But now that we’re finally reunited once again under the same roof, our vision to end homelessness for people living with HIV/AIDS in Georgia seems more possible than ever before.
